BRUSSELS (Reuters) – A man driving a van crashed into the terrace of a cafe in central Brussels on Friday and lightly injured six people, Brussels firefighters and judicial sources said.

The driver of the van, who fled in the vehicle after the incident shortly before 1 p.m., was arrested in Antwerp, the Belga news agency reported, citing a source familiar with the matter.

None of the injured had to be taken to hospital.

It is unclear whether it was an accident or a deliberate act, but witnesses told Belgian media that the van pulled into busy Rue Saint-Michel with tires screeching , that she seemed to be aiming for the coffee and that she was traveling at high speed.
