Very touched by the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton appears with a sad and tired face.

This Thursday, September 8, Prince William and the other members of the royal family rushed to the bedside of Queen Elizabeth II. William flew away with his uncles, Prince Andrew and Edward and his aunt Sophie Wessex for Balmoral Castle. The group landed at Aberdeen Airport at 4.50pm and arrived at the castle sometime after 5pm. Liz Truss, the Prime Minister, was reportedly told of the Queen’s death at 5.30pm. Which means the royals wouldn’t have arrived in time to say goodbye to the Queen.

The sovereign finally breathed her last at Balmoral Castle in the afternoon. Unfortunately Duchess Kate Middleton was unable to visit her and stayed in Windsor with her children on their first day at their new school. Today she was seen driving her car in Windsor. All dressed in black, the duchess hid her face marked by mourning under large sunglasses. The young mother also wore pearl earrings, which incidentally are considered mourning jewelry.

Kate Middleton devastated by the Queen’s death

Duchess Kate Middleton is devastated by the disappearance of the sovereign. On Instagram, the young mother and her husband took the floor to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. “The Queen died peacefully tonight at Balmoral” began the couple. Before adding “The King and Queen consort will stay at Balmoral tonight and return to London tomorrow.” The couple also shared a black and white photo of Queen Elizabeth II. As tradition dictates, Charles and his wife now accede to the throne. William and Kate Middleton in turn become Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. They inherit the ancient titles of King and Queen consort. On their biography on social networks, we now read: “The official record of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge and the Royal Foundation, based at Kensington Palace”. The prince William should also become the Prince of Wales and reclaim his father’s title. But this is not automatic. Indeed, it is the monarch who decides. Kate for her part could also use the title of Princess of Walesworn by his late mother-in-law, Diana.
