The Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro arrives on Android via an app

The most visible innovation of the latest iPhones was not hardware this year, but software. With the introduction of the Dynamic Island, Apple has found a way to transform the physical constraint represented by its front sensors into a real “second screen” quite well integrated.

But that’s the problem: this bubble is “only” software. And by definition, a good idea often ends up quickly seeing alternative versions arrive that will try to emulate it as well as possible. This is particularly the case of a beta application which is currently arriving on Android smartphones.

Just released, already reproduced

This application called dynamicSpot is developed by Jawomo, which usually offers applications for very specific tasks on Android smartphones. Seeking to reproduce the formula of Apple, it now offers Android smartphones to have in turn, at the very top of the screen, their own floating bar which displays smartphone notifications.

The pill surrounds the punch of your smartphone well, you can even move it elsewhere if you feel like it. Admittedly, the application is only in its infancy and its operation may seem rudimentary. But although the result still seems “experimental” at first glance, the idea is there.

Customization and additional paid options

The application offers customization options and even a “Pro” option for which you will have to go to checkout (€3.99) in order to add features to your island, such as the possibility of enjoying it from your locked screen , among others.

Regarding privacy, this application certifies that it does not collect the data of its users and does not want to share anything. But you have to keep in mind that it requires permissions to work that leave your smartphone potentially “open” to the application.
