The Elder Scrolls 6 is only in pre-production, Fallout 5 will come later – The Elder Scrolls 6

Days after more fully revealing Starfield, which is due to arrive in early 2023, Bethesda, through Todd Howard, gave more information on the company’s plans and the games that will be released in the future. As a result, in addition to confirming that Starfield was an ambitious game, the most massive ever created by the company, in particular thanks to the city of Atlantis, the executive producer explained in the columns of IGN the sequel for the studio.

So we learn that The highly anticipated Elder Scrolls VI is only in the pre-production phase. That is to say that there is still a very large part of work to be done, and that we shouldn’t see it happen before 2024, or even 2025 at the earliest. It’s no wonder, since Bethesda has, very rarely, released two major games two years in a row, although things can change. Then comes Fallout 5, much later. The acquisition by Microsoft could however allow the teams to move forward more quickly on these two projects.

Yeah, The Elder Scrolls VI is in pre-production and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that one, so our slate is pretty full going forward for a while. We also have a few other projects that we review from time to time.

Announced in 2018, TES 6 is therefore not yet close to its launch, which is sure to sadden fans of the license, who were still hoping for new images at the Xbox and Bethesda conference on June 12. It will be necessary to be patient before knowing more on the subject. Very patient even.
