The employment climate index in France stands at 103.6 points in October 2023, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Insee) published at 8:45 a.m. Thus, this indicator from business surveys carried out among business leaders decreased by 1.7 points over one month. The index being above its long-term average (100), the opinion of business leaders on salaried employment is therefore positive.
In September, the index was 105.3 points (a figure which has just been revised by INSEE), up 3.5 points over one month.
