The EU will release 6 billion Euros to help the Western Balkans integrate into the von der Leyen bloc

SARAJEVO, Oct 30 (Reuters) – The European Union (EU) plans to help Western Balkan countries continue the reforms needed for their integration into the bloc through an investment of six billion euros, the president said on Monday of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in Skopje, capital of North Macedonia.

North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina must all seize the “window of opportunity” of EU enlargement and work to align their standards with those of the bloc, declared Ursula von der Leyen.
