Surprise for fans of the horror genre: Allegedly, Hollywood is working on a reboot of the classic "The Exorcist".
To this day "The Exorcist" is one of the greatest films in the horror genre. Now the US production company Morgan Creek is apparently planning a reboot of the 1973 classic, as the US portal "Deadline" reports. The surprising news is practically mentioned in a subordinate clause as another project of the production company. Accordingly, the ambitious plan even provides that the new film should come to cinemas as early as 2021.
There have already been a number of projects based on the subject of "The Exorcist". In 1977 and 1990 the two sequels "Der Exorcist II – Der Ketzer" and "Der Exorzist III" appeared. In 2004 and 2005 two prequels of the horror classic came out with "Exorcist: The Beginning" and "Dominion: Exorcist – The Beginning of Evil". Nobody had ever tried a new edition of the original – until now!
