The Expendables 4: a first poster unveils a deadly slogan à la Chuck Norris. When is the trailer?

The Expendables 4 is slowly starting its promotion with a first poster revealed during CinemaCon in Las Vegas. And its tagline is not stung by cockchafers!

The grandfathers of action are getting ready for a 4th dose… of adrenaline! The Expendables 4, whose release date is not yet known, has just unveiled a first poster with a surprising slogan.

Currently in post-production, the 4th part of the saga led by Sylvester Stallone had started filming in October 2021. Barney Ross and his band of mercenaries are almost all back: Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture have returned to service!

They were joined by newcomers: Megan Fox, 50 Cent, Andy Garcia, Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais. Note that the mythical interpreter of Rocky and Rambo had left the set earlier than his colleagues, leaving Expendables between “expert hands” by Jason Statham.

As part of CinemaCon taking place in Las Vegas, the first poster unveiled shows the silhouettes of the protagonists. The latter, armed to the teeth, turn their backs on a gargantuan explosion, in the purest spirit of the franchise.

But what is striking is not really the graphic style, but rather the catchphrase: “They will perish when they are dead!” A badass tagline that Chuck Norris himself would not have denied.

On October 18, Stallone, conductor of the saga, said he had finished shooting his scenes. In a video posted on his Instagram account, the legend also confirms that this 4th episode will be his last.

The 75-year-old comedian, who seemed very moved, clarified that it was a conclusion “bittersweet” for his character and that he was ready to “pass the torchto Lee Christmas aka Jason Statham.

“Last Expendables for me. Today is my last day on set…I’m going home”, posted Sylvester Stallone in the comments of his video. Does this farewell to Barney Ross well before the end of the shots mean that his character will pass the weapon on the left?

Or maybe he will bow out by taking a well-deserved retirement? We will only know when the film is released, the date of which has not yet been announced. Note that we should find the actor in Samaritan, in which he portrays an aging superhero. Directed by Julius Avery, this film will be released on August 31, 2022.

After Stallone, Simon West and Patrick Hughes, it’s Scott Waugh (Need For Speed) who took the controls of this 4th opus of The Expendables. With the shooting now complete, the director is currently working on post-production.

A release date should be announced shortly, along with the first images. Usually when a poster is revealed, it means a trailer is coming soon.
