This is one of the recent good surprises from the Disney+ streaming platform: the comedy series Extraordinary has just been renewed for a second season, the filming of which has just started in London.

A successful and promising Disney+ original series

Created and written by young Emma Moran, the series Extraordinary is an amazing mix between Marvel and flea bagall mixed with humor so british. It tells the story of Jen, a 25-year-old young woman who is still waiting to get her superpower, in a society where everyone got theirs at 18. Jen then embarks on a quest for her hypothetical superpower in the company of her roommates, and will discover along the way that it is quite possible to be just ordinary.

Extraordinary is a variation on the superheroic genre as funny as it is tender, which paints the portrait of young people in search of identity at a time when everyone seems to have found their way. If the writing and the rhythm can be improved, the series is nevertheless an excellent surprise and turns out to be very promising.

What to rejoice in this future season 2, which will resume where the first stops. Still written by Emma Moran, and produced by Sid Gentle Films, this second season will notably see the return of actors Máiréad Tyers (Jen), Sofia Oxenham (Carrie), Bilal Hasna (Kash) and Luke Rollason (Jizzlord).
