The symbolist structure is in good hands with Jossi Wieler, this musical director with powerful images. He designs a dark end-time vision and builds on it an impressive building made of images, language and dreams. The actors are excellent: Marcel Kohler (Elis) forms an intense, finely woven ensemble with André Jung, Hildegard Schmahl, Lea Ruckpaul, Sylvana Krappatsch and Edmund Telgenkämper. The fear expressed before the premiere that the work might be “too bulky” and the language “too archaic” turns out to be unfounded in view of the acting performances.
