The feet in water ! 5 spots to try the longe-coast

MORNING LIST

The longe-coast, this discipline which consists simply of following the coast… immersed in water, is on the rise. The opportunity to savor the landscape in a different way, from the wild dunes of Flanders to the vines bordering Lake Geneva, from the ancient salt flats of Pesquiers, near Hyères, to the beauties of Carnac.

In Zuydcoote, tunes from the end of the world

In the very north of France, between Dunkirk and Belgium, Zuydcoote is a monument of the longe-coast, and not only for its grandiose landscapes. The place is considered the cradle of the discipline, invented by a native of the country, Thomas Wallyn, and brings together around twenty irreducible longeurs throughout the year. Here, no seaside resort or flowery promenade, but a wooden pontoon and wild nature. The landscape is a spectacle in itself. Bordered by the gray dunes of Flanders for more than 2 km, this long beach and its sometimes rough sea offer a breathtaking backdrop to the end of the world with, on certain days, the Dunkirk lighthouse which can be glimpsed.
