Registrations for the Ferrari Velas Esports Series 2022 esports championship on Assetto Corsa are now open. The annual competition who is changing name this year, announced its schedule for 2022 during a livestream on Twitch. For the first time, the tournament organized by the Ferrari team will no longer be unique to Europe, but will also expand to North America.
April to Octoberthe competitors will therefore compete on two continents, with the key always a place to join the Scuderia Ferrari Velas Esports Team, alongside the 2021 champion, the Polish Kamil Pawlowski, or the official team driver Brendon Leigh. To register, go to www.ferrariesportsseries.gg, the final will take place in Italy at the beginning of October.
For fans, joining the celebrations of this new championship will be Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. They will take the time to share their thoughts on the upcoming season, and to wish all virtual drivers the best before the main competition begins.
This season, the championship will be played on Assetto Corsa but also Assetto Corsa Competizione. Drivers will compete in the two parallel series in NA and Europe, each continent hasthere will be 8 qualifying phases, 4 on Assetto Corsa Competizione and 4 on Assetto Corsa. The championships will last from April to August and will conclude on the respective regional finals, i.e. in Europe on September 13 and in the United States on September 14. The highlight of the event will be the Grand Final, October 2, 2022, in Italy, where the top 3 drivers from both regions will compete in an innovative format that will be unveiled right after the regional finals. Finally, the cars with which the pilots will compete will be the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo and the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo.
