The film Happy retirement! convinced you at the movies? Prepare to see him on your couch. After bringing together more than a million spectators in theaters, this film by Fabrice Bracq, as funny as it is tender, will be available on DVD and VOD from March 25.

Philippe and Marilou are a very happy couple. Hard work, it's over for them. The retirement is finally here and now they only dream of one thing: going to live in Portugal. It’s a new start for them, but when they’re about to tell the rest of the family about this project, not everything goes as planned. Philippe and Marilou will discover the joys of being retired grandparents … But also the constraints! It seems that their children have other plans for them. Because who better placed than the grandparents to look after the grandchildren? If Philippe and Marilou were persuaded to be quiet after retirement, they were therefore completely mistaken. Happy retirement! thus lifts the veil on this social phenomenon where many grandparents act as babysitters. But it is a benevolent glance, endowed with an irresistible humor, which is carried on the generation "Chicoufs".

Because what appeals to the highest point is that the grandparents have tried to avoid playing babysitters, there is an unnamed bond between these two retirees and their grandchildren. The little ones are the first to be in the confidence of this great project in Portugal. It gives moments of infinite tenderness that recall this special bond between grandparents and grandchildren.

A shock duo

If the faces of these young actors bring a captivating sweetness to the film, Michèle Laroque and Thierry Lhermitte, them, form a shock duo. These two figures of French cinema embody an extraordinary couple. But they are especially very funny in Happy retirement! Between filtered calls and false excuses, their determination and small shenanigans to avoid responsibilities make them great endearing children. This film, directed by Fabrice Bracq, is a family comedy where everyone will find his account. It must also be said that the supporting roles go perfectly with the characters of Philippe and Marilou. Each brings a fair reflection on the life of a couple, parental responsibilities and many other subjects of society approached with accuracy.

The film exposes multiple situations which make it deeply universal and this is undoubtedly what made its success when it was released in theaters. Happy retirement! will be available on DVD and VOD from March 25.
