The filmed investigation game The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story is shown again before its release

The publisher is sharing today a new trailer for this title directed by Koichiro Ito (428: Shibuya Scramble) and produced by Junichi Ehara (NieR Automata), with cinematographer Yasuhito Tachibana (The Naked Director) and studio hand (NEO: The World Ends With You) in development.

If the references inspire rather confidence, it is to be hoped that the plot and the mechanics of this project hold up since it will still be necessary to invest 50 euros to accompany the author of detective novels Haruka Kagami in this cinematographic adventure through the generations. The investigation takes place in fact on three different eras (1922, 1972, 2022) but always around the Shijima family, whom a curse seems to have been chasing for 100 years in the form of a strange Fruit of youth.

Regarding the tools for carrying out the investigation, the player will be able to consult the plans of the area surrounding the place of the murder, which can be useful for finding contradictions, in particular on the location of the people. Each murder takes place in three phases: the presentation of the murder and the search for clues (Scenario phase), the connection of clues and leads in the cognitive space of the protagonist to create theories (Reflection phase) and the moment of designating the culprit while knowing how to defend his arguments (Solution phase).
