The filming of the series Twisted Metal is finished

It’s in the box for season 1! The cast and crew of Twisted Metal were outstanding. Despite lightning delays, extreme heat, and cars not doing what they were told, everyone worked as hard as possible to make Twisted Metal as spectacular as possible. The last day of filming felt like the last day of camp, with lots of laughs, a few tears, and ice cream being handed out in the back of Sweet Tooth’s truck. We’re all can’t wait for you to see this insane thing we spent our summer shooting. Now, on to the assembly!” has commented showrunner and executive producer Michael Jonathan Smith, also writer and executive producer on the series Cobra-Kai.

Billed as a post-apo action comedy, the series Twisted Metal stars Anthony Mackie (Falcon in the Marvel movies), Will Arnett (GOB in Arrested Development), Samoa Joe (AEW wrestler), Thomas Haden Church (The Sandman in Spiderman), Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa Diaz in Brooklyn Nine-Nine) or even Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott in Scream). In the United States, the series will be broadcast on Peacock, the platform of NBCUniversal.

Appearing on PlayStation in 1995, the franchise Twisted Metal has been on hold since the release of the PS3 episode in 2012. Rumor has it that a reboot is in development for PS5, however. This would first have been entrusted to the studio Lucid Games (Destruction AllStars) before being moved to Firesprite (The Persistence), a studio which joined the Sony Interactive Entertainment family in 2021 and is working on multiple projects, including Horizon Call of the Mountain.
