The version smart phone and Tablet ofAndroid 13 has already revealed many of its secrets to us. However, for its part, the TV version of the operating system wants to be relatively stingy with information. But a first beta of Android TV 13 has finally arrived and allows us to get a glimpse of the OS.

Like every year, the next version of the Android operating system will make its debut to take over from Android 12. And precisely, a first beta of Android TV 13 has finally just been published by Google!

Android TV 13: a first beta available

It was journalist Mishaal Rahman, on Twitter, who gave us an overview of the different features provided by the latest version of Android TV. And the least we can say is that they are, for the moment at least, relatively few. Note also that only people with an ADT-3 TV dongle, or those who use the Android TV emulator from Android Studio can have access to this first beta of Android TV 13.

This first beta version of Android TV 13 currently offers an experience very similar to Android 12. However, some time ago, the Mountain View company announced that a number of features would be arriving within Android TV 13. Among them, we find an improved Picture-in-Picture mode, support for Fast Pair (which allows you to simply pair external audio devices to your television) or even a more developed, which would ensure lower energy consumption by blocking network access to applications.

While waiting for Google to decide to speak up to tell us more about Android TV 13, probably during I/O 2022 which will be held very soon, the mobile version of Android 13 has us it already unveiled some upcoming changes within the operating system.
