The philosopher and writer, Bernard-Henri Lévy, has made his third documentary on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Guest of Culture Médias on Tuesday, he recalled the worrying importance of Russia in the conflicts affecting Europe, but also the rest of the world.

A third documentary by Bernard-Henri Lévy on the war in Ukraine will be broadcast this Tuesday on France Télévisions. Guest of the show Culture Médias on Europe 1, he returned to the current conflicts in Europe, but also across the world. He took the opportunity to recall the worrying importance of Russia in these conflicts.

“Hamas is not much without Iran and without Russia”

“At the moment, there is a lot of talk about the Hamas attack against Israel. We know today that Hamas is not much without Iran and without Russia, two countries which are behind all this. Besides, the leaders of Hamas, the first country that was willing to receive them after October 7 was Russia. Vladimir Putin received Hamas in the Kremlin, he refused to condemn the monstrous pogrom of October 7.” , declared the writer and philosopher.

“This war against Ukraine, this war against Israel, all of that is so linked. Tomorrow, the possible war against Taiwan, it could also be the same thing, it is such a concerted attack against the values of democracy and freedom. If we don’t wake up, we are headed for disaster, as has already happened to us twice in Europe,” added Bernard Henri-Lévy.

An alarming situation

For him, the current situation is alarming and we must intervene as soon as possible. “We committed suicide the first time in 1914, we committed suicide a second time by giving in to Nazi Germany. If we are not able to wake up to Putin and radical Islamism, it will be a third suicide,” concluded the philosopher.
