The First Descendant shares Battlegrounds changes

One of the most recurring feedback regarding the open beta of The First Descendant concerned empty land. If Nexon explained this choice during Dev. Note 7, some changes were made. Today in Dev. Note 8, Nexon reviews changes to battlefields in
The First Descendant. And it looks like the developers are on the right track to fill this void.

In addition, the cooperative aspect was mentioned to talk about specific changes. The objective being to offer a pleasant gaming experience, units will always be limited to 4 players. However, the difference will be made directly on the battlefields. These will now be divided into different areas, and players can only access one of them at a time. With this limitation, the developers hope to create a more dynamic playing field for 4 players.

Make the world more alive

In addition to reducing the size of the arenas to tighten the action, many interactive elements are appearing. Thus, existing missions will see new ones arrive, as well as secondary content. THE encrypted caches are therefore making their entrance. These are chests scattered across the terrain, containing information and resources. The Legatees will be able to search for them and participate in a mini-game to open them.

Alongside the missions, a repeatable objective is added to the list of possibilities. It’s about Void Fusion Reactor, which allows you to obtain rewards provided you overcome your guardian. To do this, players must first get their hands on Void Shards. When the shards are placed in the reactor, a commander will be summoned. All you have to do is kill him to get his loot.

Finally, it would be strange if the Vulgus did not have their own encampment. Vulgus outposts emerged across the battlefields on The First Descendant. And as soon as a player approaches it, they receive the mission to eradicate it. These camps are different sizes, but the objective is always the same. You must eliminate all the Vulgus in garrison then destroy the outpost to weaken the legion. This will make certain confrontations simpler, but it is especially necessary to explore the area.
