After food retailers such as Rewe and furniture discounter Roller, a hardware store is now also distributing its brochures via WhatsApp with toom. To do this, the company uses a service provided by the online marketing company “360dialog”.
According to toom, the hardware store is the first company in the industry to use WhatsApp to communicate offers. Messenger is an additional service. You can still use the toom app as usual or obtain the printed brochure.
This is how you get the toom brochure on your smartphone
As with the other WhatsApp brochures, you start the service by scanning the QR code on the toom service page. If your camera does not recognize the QR code, simply use the WhatsApp camera itself.
You can then enter various commands in the chat:
- your zip code You will receive the prospectus for your region.
- BEGIN You get offers for free as a weekly subscription.
- STOP The weekly subscription ends.
