Attached to the Xiaomi Smart Home ecosystem, Xiaomi’s Aqara brand is mainly present in China. It is certainly not very established in France, but it is getting there little by little. Last May, Aqara launched the Smart Door Lock A100 Zigbee, a connected lock that has not been launched in Europe since. This time, Aqara takes a step further with us with its E1 connected thermostatic head.

Automate the adjustment of your heating

A connected thermostatic head replaces the head found on our radiators. Its role is to control the heating on each radiator independently. For the E1, it can be fixed on ” hydronic heaters, including wall heaters, towel warmers and even warm floors “.

Aqara announces that ” this radiator thermostat supports most radiator valves with its M30*1.5 mm threaded connection and supplied adapters for RA, RAV and RAVL1 valves “. The Aqara E1 works with two AA batteries which allow the thermostatic head to be used for one year.

One of the Chinese manufacturer’s arguments is that its head can receive temperature measurements from Aqara connected sensors. On some heads classics This is an internal sensor whose measurements may be distorted due to its proximity to the radiator. In the uses, the brand says that we can imagine a scenario in which the head cuts the heating “ when a door or window is left open, to reduce energy waste “.

A connected thermostatic head compatible with several home automation systems

The manufacturer declares that its connected object supports the Zigbee 3.0 protocol. He adds that he will be entitled to an OTA update via his Zigbee hub so that his E1 head supports the Matter protocol.

Its thermostatic head is already compatible with HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa, Home Assistant and IFTTT. Via the Aqara Home application, you can program the radiators according to the hours of presence of the inhabitants. The heating can also be activated when you return home, or depending on the weather.

The Aqara E1 connected thermostatic head is available on Amazon in France at 89.57 euros.
