The flagship hairstyle of the 60s is making a comeback (and we love it!): Femme Actuelle Le MAG

After the great comeback of the hairstyles of the 90s which have made their (re) appearance on all heads since the end of 2020, it is the turn of the emblematic hairstyles of the period of the sixties, like the retro hair flip which had already started its comeback last fall.

The iconic Brigitte Bardot was its ambassador, it is the puffy and voluminous hairstyle on the top of the head, you remember ? On straight or curly hair, the goal is to maximize volume by crimping the roots on the top of the head to create an XXL ball effect. The must at the time of yéyé, was to create a nice demarcation by adding a hair accessory: a headband, a scarf or a headband. Very fashionable in the 1960s, this hairstyle was worn by all women and on all types of hair, whether short or long.

Now modernized, we see this very chic maxi volume hairstyle on the catwalks and at several American stars who have brought it up to date: Ariana Grande, who highlights it in her video clip 34 + 35, but also Kendall Jenner, Lana Del Rey, Camila Morrone (the lover of Leonardo Di Caprio) … and even in France, on the delicious Tina Kunakey who posed with this hairstyle in mid-January 2021.

So, are you ready to (re) get started?
