If you’re looking forward to the next DC movies in theaters, we have some good news and some bad news for you regarding release dates…

Unsurprisingly, the pandemic is to blame for the delays, especially on the post-production side.

Massive new postponements for the DCEU

Warner Bros., which until now should have been rather satisfied with the start of 2022, notably with the critical and box office success of The Batman
, has just announced concrete changes concerning its catalog of movie releases. The pandemic has indeed delayed many productions, especially for the creation of special effects.

The only good news is that to compensate for the rain of postponements that is coming, Shazam! Fury of the Gods has been brought forward from June 2023 to December 12, 2022.

Thereby, The Flash with Ezra Miller, already postponed several times, will no longer arrive on November 4, but will still have to wait until June 23, 2023. Fortunately, the other postponements are a little less violent.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is shifted from December 16, 2022 to March 17, 2023. black adam with The Rock is also pushed back by 3 months, to October 21, 2022, while the animated film DC League of Super Pets
in which the actor is also present, shifts its release from May 20, 2022 to July 29 of the same year.

Note in passing that Wonkathe prequel film in which Timothée Chalamet will play Willy Wonka, is also postponed from March 17, 2023 to December 15, 2023. Jason Statham will make his return underwater in Meg 2: The Trench on August 4, 2023.
