The Flash: Ezra Miller speaks for the first time since his arrest

The premiere of “The Flash” allowed Ezra Miller to make his first public appearance in a long time, and to express himself since his legal troubles that occurred last year.

Long postponed, according to the changes of screenwriters and / or directors, The Flash also encountered obstacles after its shooting. And not only because of the changes in strategy on the side of Warner and DC, which led him to make some alterations.

Hired in October 2014 to play the role of Barry Allen in the cinema, Ezra Miller further fueled the section “news item” in recent years, when he was seen strangling a woman leaving a bar in Iceland before being charged with public disorder and harassment in Hawaii, receiving restraining orders for minors aged 12 and 18. And to be arrested in 2022, in Vermont, for a burglary of which he admitted the facts.

After postponing it, Warner even considered canceling the release. But the comedian’s public apologies, as well as a clear desire to seek treatment saved the feature film, which he did not, however, promote. But he was present for the preview of the opus directed by Andy Muschietti and, failing to give interviews, spoke publicly.

The Flash is crucial for the future of DC superhero films: we explain why

To bluntly discuss the accusations against him. And thank Warner Bros. executives. Discovery and DC Studios for “[leur] grace, discernment and support in this context of my life. And for allowing this moment to come to an end.” Ezra Miller also praised his director Andy Muschietti: “I love you, maestro. You are amazing and your work is monumental.”

It remains to be seen whether the film, which has a big stake for the future of DC, will be a success. Because there is no doubt that the future of Ezra Miller in Flash depends greatly on the box office of the feature film.
