“The Flash” is currently racing across German cinema screens, but when can you see the current DC blockbuster with Ezra Miller and Michael Keaton in the stream?

For a long time, the fate of “The Flash” was considered uncertain. The DC movie is long out of the way and garnered rave reviews from Warner Bros. executives (although it’s rare that Warner Bros. doesn’t laud a Warner Bros. film), but the “The Flash” scandals -Star Ezra Miller and the rebalancing of the DC Universe caused problems.
After Warner locked “Batgirl” in the poison closet, fans feared that “The Flash” might never be released or ingloriously end up streaming on HBO Max without ever making it to theaters. But that’s not how it should be, “The Flash” was given an official start date of June 15, 2023 and Warner is hoping for a remarkable cinema success.
After “Black Adam” and “Shazam: Fury of the Gods” went bad at the box office, Warner also desperately needs a hit. But when will “The Flash” appear in the stream and could a failure in the cinema lead to a particularly early stream release?
“The Flash” exclusively in cinemas for the time being
Currently it has only been confirmed that “The Flash” in autumn 2023 will be streaming at Max (formerly HBO Max) in the US. With this vague timeline, Warner Bros. can make the actual release dependent on how “The Flash” does in theaters. As a flop, “The Flash” would probably end up at Max’s in September, and as a hit it probably wouldn’t come until October or November.
Regardless of the release on Max, “The Flash” could be offered as a digital purchase title much earlier. Warner Bros. already did this with “Black Adam” and “Shazam: Fury of the Gods”. “The Flash” could end up on iTunes or Amazon by the end of July 2023, probably for a price of just under 20 euros.
In Germany, “The Flash” should also appear on Sky and Wow at the end of 2023. A more precise date can only be expected in a few months, and the release date of “The Flash” on DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K Blu-Ray will probably only be known in a few weeks. So if you want to see “The Flash” as soon as possible, you’ll have to head to the cinema first!
