“Batman” Adam West and “Superman” Christopher Reeve are set to star in “The Flash.” Both actors are already dead.

Meet the superhero generation in “The Flash”: Adam West is said to be seen in the upcoming solo film about the lightning-fast DC hero. The embodied Batman in the 1960s TV series. With Ben Affleck (49) and Michael Keaton (70), two former Batman actors have already been confirmed for “The Flash”.

And that’s not all: With Christopher Reeve, an old Superman actor is also to appear. And the TV Wonder Woman Lynda Carter (70) should also stop by. The magazine “TMZ” reports on leaks by alleged Hollywood insiders who want to know about the unusual casting coup.

Archival footage instead of CGI

There’s a problem though: both West and Reeve are no longer among the living. Adam West passed away on June 9, 2017 at the age of 88. Christopher Reeve died on October 10, 2004. He was 52 years old.

According to “TMZ”, the deceased stars should not be brought to life with CGI techniques. They should only be visible via archive material.

That’s what “The Flash” is about

In “The Flash,” superhero real name Barry Allen (played by Ezra Miller, 29) travels back in time to prevent his mother’s murder. This has consequences for the space-time continuum.

The film from the DC Extended Universe follows in the footsteps of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. In the smash hit by competitor Marvel, three spider men from different dimensions meet: Tom Holland (25), Andrew Garfield (38) and Tobey Maguire (46).

“The Flash” is scheduled to start in (US) cinemas on June 23, 2023 after several postponements.
