With just under 400,000 admissions, “The Flash” takes the lead in the French box office ahead of “Spider-Man – Across the Spider-Verse”, now a millionaire, and the latest “Transformers”.

One blockbuster chases the other to the top of the hexagonal box office. And the reign of the Transformers only lasted a short week. The time that The Flash finally arrives in our theaters, and starts in pole position, at lightning speed. Or not so much.
With 388,700 admissions for its first week of operation, the fastest man in the world has certainly done better than Shazam! – The Rage of the Gods, but almost half as much as Black Adam. And there is no doubt that Warner expected much better from a film with such a popular hero and playing the nostalgia card by bringing back Michael Keaton’s Batman.
If the reasons for this disappointing start can be multiple, between the weariness of the public for the genre and the setbacks of its main actor Ezra Miller, the DC feature film is nevertheless ahead Spider-Man – Across the Spider-Versewhich remains in second position and took advantage of this third week of operation to cross the milestone of one million admissions.
A bar that Transformers – Rise of the Beasts, passed from the first to the third step of the podium, should undoubtedly reach. In which case it would become the first opus of the saga not to achieve this. Considerations including The little Mermaid And Fast & Furious X are already far away, just like Guardians of the Galaxy 3which this week became the biggest success of the Marvel trilogy in France.
In the rest of the ranking, Love and forests should not exceed War is Declared among the films directed by Valérie Donzelli. But it consolidates its second place a little more, with more than 500,000 admissions to date, and could end its run very close to the feature film released in 2011.
