The Formovie Theater is an excellent ultra-short throw video projector in many aspects: the quality of the rendering, its contrast which goes very high, good HDR compatibility and an effective Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Unfortunately, the colorimetry out of the box is disappointing, especially in HDR where the delta E soars. Calibration will be necessary for a viewing experience closer to the original works.

The Xgimi Horizon Ultra is one of the best Android TV video projectors passed through our laboratory. The automatic image adjustment system is still as efficient as ever; above all, the image is now perfectly calibrated in SDR, a first for the Chinese manufacturer. For the rest, this video projector retains its strengths, the very practical all-in-one concept, an efficient audio system and quiet operation, but also its weaknesses such as a restricted Netflix app and limited contrast.
