the franchise back on PS5 and PS4

Several Siphon Filter games have been listed for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in Korea. A comeback which is no stranger with the launch of the PS Plus Premium.

It’s not a new game, but at least fans will be able to reconnect with Agent Gabriel Logan. Indeed, four Siphon Filter titles are about to be available on PlayStation consoles.

PS Plus Premium: Siphon Filter games are coming to PS5 and PS4

As before each game release or re-release, classification bodies in different countries update their databases. Direction Korea where the committee in charge of this paperwork recorded Siphon Filter, Siphon Filter 2, Siphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow and Siphon Filter: Dark Mirror on PS5 and PS4.

An innocuous return? No. This should be seen as an obvious sign that they will be added to the PS Plus Premium, the most expensive offer which allows you to (re)discover the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP library. The four components of the license identified will probably be available from June, the launch period of the new PlayStation Plus.

The series will undeniably have left its mark on PlayStation consoles, especially the first two episodes, and many players would not be against a REAL comeback of this action / stealth TPS.

And a new game?

Could the Siphon Filter series return in a totally new part? Everything is possible, but it would be without its creators. Jeff Ross, ex-Bend Studio who joined the Tomb Raider teams, had refused to think about a new game. The motivation was simply not there and he did not see at all how to revive the franchise.

I was asked if there was another license we could take over, and the only other we had was Siphon Filter. But honestly, I had no idea how to revive the franchise. And that didn’t interest me at all.

Who to take over? Naughty Dog? Uncharted 5 should already occupy the studio well. The new San Diego PlayStation team could eventually get down to it, but you still have to want it and have good ideas. In the meantime, you will therefore have to satisfy yourself with old games on your brand new 4K TV.
