The first big addition of Elden Ring has just landed with, in its wake, the imposing patch 1.08.

We learned a few hours ago that Elden Ring was going to receive its first DLC for PvP. According to rumors, the latter would only be the tip of the iceberg and a bigger DLC, PvE this time, should be announced at The Game Awards. But while waiting to be sure and certain, the update of the Colosseums arrives with the huge patch 1.08.
On the menu of this new updateElden Ring, all new content related to PvP and Coliseums, but also a huge number of PvP-exclusive balances and several important changes related to general gameplay. We will also note the arrival of patches to clean up some annoying bugs.

Major New Features

  • Limgrave, Caelid and Leyndell Coliseums are now open.

In these arenas, players can engage in a variety of combat trials: 1v1 duels, free-for-all and team battles of up to six players, or special battles with spirit summoning enabled.

  • New hairstyles for character creation have been added. These are also available when editing characters using the mirror at the Round Table.

PvP Exclusive Adjustments

  • Reduced counterattack damage from thrusting weapons.
  • Reduced guard effectiveness when attacking with your shield for certain weapon types.
  • The balance damage of the following weapons has been reduced (the balance damage of weapon skills remains unchanged):
    • Straight Swords / Thrusting Swords / Heavy Thrusting Swords / Curved Swords / Axes / Spears / Twin Swords / Katanas
  • Reduced balance damage of Bestial Slingshot (cast).
  • Reduced the power of the “Carian Slicer” spell.

General adjustments

  • Increased the speed and range of some attacks and reduced the cooldown of the following weapons:
    • Daggers / Axes / Hammers / Flails (dual wielding)
  • Increased the speed of some attacks and reduced the cooldown of the following weapons:
    • Twinblade (two-handed) / Reaper / Fist / Claw
  • Slightly increased the speed of Colossal Sword light and rolling attacks.
  • Increased hilt damage of axes.
  • Increased balance when attacking with two-handed hammers.
  • Increased claw balance damage. Weapon skills remain unchanged.
  • Increased the balance value during the active part of the weapon skills “Stamp (Upward Cut / Sweep)”.
  • Increased balance and edge damage of Moonlight Sword and weapon, and reduced balance damage of Magic Wave.
  • Reduced the speed of light attacks from Thrusting Swords and Heavy Thrusting Swords.
  • Reduced the stagger caused by two-handed jump attacks with heavy swords.
  • Reduced balance damage from Hammers, Great Hammers, and some Colossal Weapons. Weapon skills remain unchanged.
  • Reduced “Cragblade” weapon skill balance damage.
  • Reduced the flame duration of the weapon skill “Flaming Strike”.
  • Reduced the balance damage of the weapon skill “Flame of the Redmanes”.
  • Increased the time it takes to activate the guard portion of the “Shield Bash” weapon skill.
  • Reduced the balance damage of the weapon skill “Gravity Bolt”.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented consumables from being restocked when teleporting to a Grace Site from the map.
  • Fixed a bug where stamina would replenish when switching to a crouch while running.
  • Fixed a bug where spell, incantation, and item actions were being ignored while shielding against attacks.
  • Fixed incorrect physical attack values ​​of some attacks of the “Snake-Hunter” weapon.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the next attack from occurring when the Black Sword cast was activated with a holy seal in the left hand.
  • Fixed a bug where right hand weapon attack power would sometimes be applied when casting Inescapable Frenzy with a two-handed Sacred Seal in the left hand.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause multiple instances of damage when certain spells and incantations were cast while jumping.
  • Fixed a bug that caused incorrect use of weapon skills with specific combinations.
