Sony has lifted the veil on the free PS Plus Extra & Premium games for May 2024. A more important month for subscribers to compensate for the thirty departures?
Almost two years since the PS Plus changed to make way for two new formulas: Extra and Premium. The first gives access to a catalog of recent and older games, sometimes with day one releases that invite themselves to the party. The Premium offer also offers a whole slew of classics, ranging from the PS1 to the PS3 via the PSP, in addition to free trials on numerous productions. While the growth of the service is declining, just like that of its competitor, Xbox Game Pass, the PS Plus Extra and Premium program from May 2024 is particularly expected at the turn? Will it live up to expectations? We finally have the answer.
PS Plus Extra games for May 2024
Just like last year, this month of May has a bit of a bitter taste for PlayStation Extra and Premium members. The next few days will indeed be marked by departures with nearly 35 games leaving the catalog next week. This includes the exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn, which has not failed to fuel rumors of a remake, such as popular titles and strong licenses. Naturally, subscribers expected more additions for this PS Plus Extra program from May 2024, or at least very qualitative ones to sweeten the pill and counterbalance what looks like a massacre.
We already knew that Ubisoft+ (integrated into both formulas) was going to offer two games: Watch Dogs and The Settlers New Allies, but Sony has finally revealed the titles that would accompany them with Red Dead Redemption 2 at the top of the bill. Here is the list of PS Plus Extra additions for May 2024:

PlayStation Plus Premium games for May 2024
What about PS Plus Premium subscribers? In recent months Sony has clearly made efforts to respond to critics who considered the number of additions too poor to justify such a price. The publisher has therefore offered a little more than usual and with highly appreciated titles or licenses, even if eyes are still fixed on a certain Dino Crisis spotted several times. It still won’t be this time, but subscribers will have 3 small games which will integrate the PS Plus Premium in May 2024 to compensate. Here is the list:
