(AOF) – “The IOC Executive Board has just decided that it is entering into a targeted dialogue with the French Alps, the only candidates, for the organization of the 2030 Winter Olympics”. This is what ADN Tourisme, the national federation of institutional tourism organizations, announces in a press release released this evening. “Thirty-eight years after the Albertville Olympics, this announcement constitutes great pride for our country and a victory for the tourism sector,” she comments.
“This candidacy was supported by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions, which will do everything possible to offer visitors and spectators from around the world unforgettable Games,” adds ADN Tourisme. “A few weeks after the Rugby World Cup and a few months before Paris 2024, this announcement confirms that our country is a fantastic place to organize major international events.”
