the French army accuses the Russian mercenaries of the Wagner Group of manipulation

The French army has filmed what it claims are Russian mercenaries burying bodies near the Gossi base in northern Mali, in a bid it says to accuse the French of having left a mass grave behind them.

In these videos taken using a drone, to which several media, including The worldhad access and which the French general staff qualifies as“informational attack”, soldiers can be seen busying themselves around corpses which they cover with sand. Paris maintains that they are militiamen of the Russian private security group Wagner.

On Wednesday, images accompanied by a comment pointing to the responsibility of the French army in this mass grave were posted on the Twitter account of a man named Dia Diarra, who proclaims himself ” veteran “ and “Malian patriot” and that the French general staff suspects of being linked to the Wagner Group.

As part of its disengagement from Mali, announced in February, the French army officially handed over the keys to the Gossi base, which hosted 300 French soldiers, to the Malian armed forces (FAMa) on Tuesday.
