During its conference, the Cloud Computing service Shadow was able to present its new formula and talk about its future. This is what should be remembered.
To enrich its service, and as we have discovered, Shadow will offer a new offer called Power.
Maximum Power
This new Shadow Power formula comes in addition to the current one which is at 29.99 euros/month. This offer offers a solid configuration, see instead:
- Processa: AMD EPYC 7543P 4 cores and 8 threads
- GPUs : Depending on the data center, this can range from an Nvidia RTX A4500 or Nvidia GeForce RTX class 3070 to AMD’s RDNA 2 based graphics cards, such as the AMD Radeon PRO V620 which is designed for cloud computing specifically
- RAM : 16 GB
The Shadow Power Option should be available for pre-order this summer and available in France this fall. This will cost an additional €14.99/month (i.e. €44.98/month in total) which is starting to add up. Know that a waiting list is already available.
Shadow explains this price by the difficulty of finding graphics cards and the various component problems as well as the management of the servers.
Shadow Drive and Shadow Business
In addition to the classic cloud computing gaming which remains the pillar of the French company, we learned of the launch of two new services, namely Shadow Drive, which is a free storage solution with 20 GB of space as well as a version premium from €8.99 per month with up to 2TB storage.
Finally, Shadow Business Solutions, which is a cloud computing service aimed at companies and professionals. This solution should allow companies to create and manage many workstations.
