Sometimes the series reveal experienced actors to young audiences, as is the case in many French productions on television. And Plus Belle La Vie is no exception to the rule.
Who could have made his debut in the film of Francis Veber in 1983 “les compères” and also be the winner of the Gérard Philippe prize in 1991? An actor from Plus Belle la vie combines these two particularities and not the least, although they are unknown to the young audience of the series.
Stéphane Bierry: thirty-two years after Tristan Martin in “les compères” he played Stéphane Prieur
While he played Stéphane Prieur from 2012 to 2018 in the Plus Belle la vie series, the oldest have undoubtedly recognized Tristan Martin as Stéphane Bierry. The alleged son of François Pignon and Jean Lucas, alias Pierre Richard and Gérard Depardieu, in Francis Veber’s film “les compères” was indeed the same Stéphane Bierry. Son of the actor Etienne Bierry, he has, in parallel to this leading role, made a career in the theater from 1973 to 2020. It is also for his talents as an actor, that he won the prestigious Gérard Philippe prize in 1991. QA few appearances in series quickly put a face to the name of this talented actor.
He was only 20 when he appeared alongside Gérard Depardieuwho had also been nominated for the Césars for his role in “les compères”, just like Francis Veber, but Stéphane Bierry, who at the time attended the national conservatory of dramatic art had eyes only for the theater. He has also devoted a large part of his life to it, in thirty-two plays as an actor and director of three plays. It is also on this occasion that he again winked at Francis Veber, playing in the Dîner de cons. In More beautiful lifeit was mainly in the eighth season that his character gained momentum, and that is surely where the over-30s recognized him!
