the future nugget that looks like Its Takes Two to watch

The Puckly Squire, an independent gem to become, took advantage of the last Devolver Digital event to show off once again and that still makes you really want it, doesn’t it?

Devolver didn’t forget anyone for Christmas and decided to hold a little totally crazy live show (as usual) to talk about their next releases. Among these, we hope, future little nuggets, there is The Plucky Squire, an atypical platform game which should make a little noise upon its release with its atypical universe and its more than tempting proposition.

The Puckly Squire, solo tunes from Its Takes Two?

The independent game took advantage of this new event to show itself once again with a gameplay sequence that clearly makes your mouth water. The game will immerse us in a fantastic universe where the characters of a storybook discover that they can travel through our world and 3D. They will then set off in search of their missing friends in what promises to be a surprising artistic epic. The game indeed mixes genres and plays with it. 2D, 3D, isometric view, platform, action and certainly a touch of RPG here and there.

Guaranteed change of scenery. In this way, it is reminiscent of It Takes Two, the GOTY 2021, which also offered us a fantastic journey mixing reality and magic. There is no question of cooperation, however, in The Plucky Squire. The game will be solo, at least, at first glance. In any case, the game seems well on its way to being a real little revelation of the independent scene thanks to its concept and, casually, its interesting risk-taking.

Developed by All Possible Futures, of which it is the first major project, The Plucky Squire is long overdue and will not see the light of day until 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Nintendo Switch. No specific release date at the moment, so you’ll have to be patient.
