Dr Disrespect and many players are very concerned about Warzone 2. Indeed they are not convinced that the game is the “savior” that Call of Duty is looking for.
Since its launch, Call of Duty: Warzone has established itself as one of the most popular Battle Royales on the market. However, it had its share of problems with cheats, bugs, and various balancing issues.
Long rumors of a sequel, or even a new version of the game became reality when Activision confirmed that a Warzone sequel was in the works.
Warzone 2 is set to release during the Modern Warfare 2 cycle, which kicks off in October, but Dr Disrespect and many players have concerns about that.
Warzone 2 has been confirmed for 2022.
The former Call of Duty developer, who hasn’t been shy about criticizing the franchise he loves so much, voiced his concerns during his June 27 stream after noting that he had lost interest in watching. Warzone streams.
He noted that the franchise needs a boost, especially after Vanguard. But it is unfortunately not sure that Warzone 2 is the answer. “Is Warzone 2 going to be the savior (of CoD)? I don’t know, man. I do not know”said the Doc. “I can see some initial hype, but nothing like the original Warzone map and the original Verdansk. I do not see it. I think what we are seeing is a slow decline.”
The Doc returned to the fact that, although there is a lot of hype, it is not sure that the new version of Warzone can match the original energy of the first battle royale of the name and its initial map of Verdansk .
Although he noted that a massive team is working on each game, they are ultimately limited by the engine and believe it needs a “massive overhaul” to get out of it.
It’s obvious that the Doc will be playing new releases of the CoD franchise as they become available, but he’s skeptical about where things are headed.
