The teamwork carried out by the leaker OnLeaks and the specialized site GizNext allows us to discover in detail and before the time the (supposed) design of the next smartphone high-end from Samsung: the Galaxy S24 Plus.

Straighter edges, a sleeker metal chassis, but an overall similar design to the Galaxy S23 Plus. This is what we discover in the 3D renderings shared by the specialized site GizNext, produced from information gleaned by the often well-informed leaker OnLeaks. Samsung’s next flagship would therefore rely on a form of continuity compared to its predecessor.

Evolution without revolution…

Compared to the current model, the Galaxy S24 Plus, expected at the start of next year, would therefore focus on straighter, completely flat sides, like the old iPhone 14 Pro. We also discover a chrome metal frame. According to GizNext, it would be aluminum, but some rumors suggest a titanium chassis for the S24 Ultra. Difficult to say if this metal will also be used by the S24 Plus which interests us here.

In any case, the device would adopt the layout of the rear sensors of the Galaxy S23 Plus, with three modules placed vertically in the upper left corner of the chassis. Very anecdotally, however, it seems that the flash will be slightly shifted downwards.

…but still a lot of elegance

For the rest, we notice the addition of a UWB (ultra wide band) antenna on the right side of the device. Above will visibly be installed the lock button and volume controls, while this Galaxy S24 Plus would measure 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.75 mm in total according to information shared by OnLeaks.

On the technical side, this new premium smartphone would otherwise include a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen running at 120 Hz and an Exynos 2400 processor in Europe (the American version of the product would work with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3). However, it is not immediately clear what the device’s specifications will be in terms of photo sensors.

Samsung Galaxy S23+

  • Excellent screen
  • Overall performance
  • up to two days of battery life

Beautiful screen, top performance, more than adequate autonomy and pleasantly remodeled design: the S23+ has everything of a seducer. However, we would have liked Samsung not to simply copy and paste the back camera of the S22 + to design that of the S23 +. Not because the images are bad, far from it, since the result is good.

For its flagship smartphone, it’s a bit flag-cheap (yes, we’re making puns and we assume it) especially when we see the equipment of the S23 Ultra. Especially since the price has been revised upwards: 1219 euros for the 8/256 GB model and 1339 euros for the 8/512 GB version.

These prices are all the more irritating as the manufacturer still ignores the power supply unit, which is now optional.
