The Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra are currently being tested at the Phonandroid editorial office. The main argument of this range is the inclusion of AI, which allows you to do a whole bunch of things. During our first test, we were not convinced by the written transcription of an audio file. Now is the time to put the terminals to the test in the photo.
Galaxy AI promises to improve your photos using artificial intelligence, to correct light, contrast, etc. and also remove possible reflections. We did the test.

The Galaxy S24 can remove reflections from a photo
This has all happened to us at least once: we take a photo through a window and notice ugly reflections that spoil the landscape. It is this concern in particular that the S24 AI addresses. The process is simple: just open the photo in question in the Gallery application (Samsung’s, not Google Photos) then press the i at the bottom of the screen. Once done, several suggestions will appear highlighted on the photo if necessary. If there are reflections, Samsung will be able to remove them. The operation takes a few seconds, no more.
The result is stunning. We first took a daytime photo of the rooftops of Paris. As we can see, ugly reflections appear in the lower part of the image. On the right, we even see the terminal.
Once the AI passes by, the reflections disappear! The AI itself analyzes the elements to be deleted and fills in the gaps. We still notice a few pitfalls here and there, certain reflections remain and small “patches” can form in certain places. But overall, it’s beautiful work, and the illusion works. This will be enough for sharing on social networks, for example.
More difficult, a photo taken at night. The first shot turns out to be unusable, the silhouette of your servant spoiling the photo.
After a little AI help, the problem is solved. Once again, the result is impressive, but we still see some artifacts. Fortunately, it is entirely possible to remove them “by hand” with a virtual eraser.
Galaxy AI shows itself convincing on the processing of photos for this first test. Obviously, we will continue to dissect Samsung’s smartphones from top to bottom. The tests will arrive in the coming days on Phonandroid, stay tuned!
