During the Summer Game Fest we were able to discover with great fanfare the brand new game Star Wars from Ubisoft namely star wars outlaws. A nice surprise that could be split into two stages: an announcement trailer for the Xbox conference and a gameplay trailer for the Ubisoft conference. A few weeks later it’s time to discover a video that focuses on the making-off and in particular on how to create “a galaxy full of opportunities”.

The magical world of Star Wars is a magnificent playground for the developers at Massive Entertainment who explain in the trailer above everything they have done to make the game star wars outlaws perfect for fans. What comes up the most in the words of the developers is the desire to offer an authentic world that does not simply give the impression to the players of recognizing places from Star Wars but of fully living the experience by crossing them. More than that, the goal is for the player to almost feel and understand what they are going through. Thus for one of the planets of the game the creators went to Africa to capture nature and for that of the game to appear as realistic and alive as possible. Ubisoft wants to bring some consistency and make the environments immersive and lively. We don’t just cross the sets of the saga, we also walk around in a coherent whole.
What is Star Wars Outlaws?
As its name suggests, Star Wars Outlaws lets you embody outlaws. Set between the events of theEmpire Strikes Back and the Return of the Idi, players take control of Kay Vess and her companion Nix. Everything takes place in the third person and takes the form of an adventure game. Massive said in particular that the setting of this period of Star Wars created an ideal environment for a “newbie bandit cuts his teeth” for it was under the Empire that the criminal syndicates gained the most power. Especially among the Hutts (with whom we can also work).
