Given the low stocks of graphics cards RTX 3000 in France, there is little chance of seeing such a promotional offer.
Since the release of the GeForce RTX 4090, many gamers have been complaining about the still very high prices of the previous generation.
A nice promotion at Best Buy
For many observers and for NVIDIA, which has admitted it half-heartedly, this maintenance of high prices on the GeForce RTX 3000 is linked to the existence of large stocks at many resellers and manufacturers.
At each level of the manufacturing chain, there were stocks: of chips at NVIDIA, of components in general at manufacturers, and of cards at retailers. Apart from the end buyer, no one wanted to lose money on a delicately managed generation.
” Shits always flying in squadrons », this maintenance of high prices on the RTX 3000 generation has not helped to democratize the following GPUs, the RTX 4000 whose prices are particularly high and whose availability is limited to the most powerful/expensive cards.
Much lower stocks in France
However, this situation has been evolving for a good 2 months now and is reflected today in this impressive promotional offer at Best Buy, in the United States, where the RTX 3000s are not far from collapsing. Here are the rates observed recently compared to the MSRP:
- GeForce RTX 3090 Ti: $1,999.99 → $879.99
- GeForce RTX 3080 Ti: $1,199.99 → $719.99
- GeForce RTX 3080: $699.99 → $419.99
- GeForce RTX 3070: $599.99
- GeForce RTX 3060 Ti: $399.99
- GeForce RTX 3060: $329.99 → $299.99
As you can see, two models are not affected by these promotions, proof that stocks may already be limited. This is largely what explains why there is no question of such promotions on our side of the Atlantic.
