Difficult to disentangle the true from the false with these rumors, but the photo of this RTX 4080 graphics card seems credible.
The latest rumors point to a possible presentation of the RTX 4000 range at NVIDIA’s GTC event, which takes place from September 19 to 22. If nothing is less certain, a photo seems to attest to the proximity of the cards.
Only certainty: the fans have 7 blades
A photo was released by a regular at these “unfortunate” leaks. The latter, anticipating criticism, insists on the fact that ” he himself had a hard time believing it, but that it is absolutely real “.
So what does this photo show? A graphics card clearly marked with an “RTX 4080” in white color while the whole thing is protected by a plastic bag which makes it difficult to identify it further.
Apart from the strange appearance of this logo with a font very different from that usually used by NVIDIA, the card is unmistakably reminiscent of a Founders Edition, more particularly an RTX 3090.
The layout and shape of the cooling system with its two imposing fans is reminiscent of this, even if the fans only have 7 blades, whereas they had 9 on the RTX 3090.
Finally, it could be that the card is as thick as the RTX 3090, therefore more than the RTX 3080 which it must nevertheless replace. That said, with the plastic bag that surrounds it, difficult to be certain of anything.
