In an interview with the US magazine “Empire”, Ryan Gosling spoke positively about his film. Similar to “James Bond” or “Jason Bourne”, the actor wants his role Court Gentry, called Sierra Six, to be continued.
The Gray Man is based on the book series of the same name by Mark Greaney. He previously worked as a co-writer for “Jack Ryan” creator Tom Clancy. After the successful author’s death in 2013, Greaney continued to publish books in the Jack Ryan universe. The Gray Man was Mark Greaney’s debut novel.
In “The Gray Man,” veteran CIA agent Court Gentry uncovers his employer’s dark state secrets. He is then called out for investigation. With the power to kill Gentry, his former colleague Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans) sets out to get him.
The action-packed film is one of Netflix’s most expensive in-house productions at $200 million. With such high costs, Netflix is obviously hoping for more from The Gray Man.
