As we can see from the trailer, it doesn’t seem like June feels much guilt about her cruel act at the end of Season 4. On the contrary, she even announces that Serena Waterford should know that it was her former maid who brutally murdered her husband.

Meanwhile, Serena prepares to bury Fred. Of course, she plays the role of the grieving widow perfectly here, with the grim smile at the end revealing that she’s probably already planning exactly how to use this situation for her own purposes.

The short clip also suggests that June may have to deal with unforeseen consequences as a result of Waterford’s assassination. For example, at one point in the video it seems like she might be in prison.

In addition, the ongoing fighting over Gilead has probably arrived in Canada. But as June’s final words in the trailer (“You want to fight? Let’s fight”) suggest, she’s more than eager to plunge into open war with the hated Serena and Gilead.

We’ll tell you in another article how season 5 of “The Handmaid’s Tale” could continue. You can also find out from us how you can watch the new episodes in Germany immediately after the US start.
