The Hidden Trick to Auto-Scroll Videos on TikTok

Switching from one video to another on TikTok is very easy, just swipe. But, there is an even more practical tip to scroll through TikTok videos automatically, without fingers.

You can swipe endlessly on TikTok, even without using your fingers. This is one of the little-known tricks on TikTok: yes, it is possible to automatically scroll videos in the application. This is very practical: you then have your hands free to attend to other activities while putting short videos in the visual and/or sound background, without having to interrupt yourself to switch from one video to another.

Here’s how to auto-scroll videos in TikTok.

Enable auto-scroll in TikTok

Just follow these few steps to enable the auto-scroll feature.

  • Open the TikTok app on your smartphone,
  • In the “For you” tab, press your finger on the screen, for example in the center of the video, while holding it for a long time,
  • A menu appears, popping up from the bottom of the screen,
  • In the options appearing at the top of this menu, choose “Auto Scroll”, a feature represented by an upward arrow,
  • It’s done ! On the screen you should read the following message: “ The next post will be displayed automatically. »

If you don’t touch anything anymore, you will notice that at the end of the video the application scrolls the screen to move on to the next one.

A very useful TikTok option, but with room for improvement

This very useful feature on TikTok, however, has some shortcomings:

  • It is not available in the “Follow-ups” tab. If you prefer to watch videos from accounts to which you are subscribed, you must continue to swipe manually,
  • If you close the app, TikTok does not remember your choice in “For you”. You should remember to activate automatic scrolling each time you open the application.

Despite these limitations, it is a functionality that remains practical on a daily basis. You can continue brushing your teeth or ironing without having to move on to the next video.
