the hit N64 returns to Switch with a very nostalgic trailer

While hordes of fans hope that Nintendo will resuscitate the F-Zero license, we learn that the N64 opus will arrive on the Switch. as part of Nintendo Switch Online.

The game that many elders sanded on the N64 will therefore make its comeback via the catalog of the Nintendo Switch Online additional pack. Remember that this online service provides access to online gaming for a tithe of €19.99 per year, as well as a selection of NES and SNES games. With the additional pack (Expansion Pack in original version), the bill doubles (yes, you have to repay €19.99 per year) but allows us to have access to some of the best games in the Nintendo 64 catalog.

F-Zero X: the return of the king!

We can enjoy classics like Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Zelda Majora’s Mask or the mythical The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, while titles from the SEGA Mega Drive should even arrive. F-Zero X will therefore join this list of titles from March 11, in just two days! As always, this is neither a remake nor a remaster, but a stupid and nasty port.

Switch: a ported console?

Too bad for fans of the series who have been waiting for a new opus since 2004 (and the release of F-Zero: GP Legend and F-Zero: Climax on GBA), and who will have to settle for an N64 game. If you’ve never got your hands on the license, and for you Captain Falcon is above all a Super Smash Bros. character, we remind you that this is a high-speed racing game whose first opus was released in 1990 on SNES. The series also influenced Psygnosis quite a bit, which released a competing game in 1995. It’s a certain Wipeout.

To mark the occasion, Nintendo therefore invites us to discover a nice trailer which makes nostalgia work to the fullest, and which shows us some game modes. We discover there, among other things, that it will be possible to enjoy multiplayer races online.
