Honor continues its comeback, unveiling its new smartphone at the end of the year: the Honor 90 GT.

The successor to the Honor 80 GT has been official for a few hours, and is accompanied by a technical sheet worthy of the name, starting with the integration of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. On the memory side, the new smartphone from Honor will be able to count on a base of 12 GB of RAM, but the terminal can also carry, in its premium version, a total of 24 GB of RAM.

On the OS side, the new Honor 90 GT will be powered by MagicOS 7.2, based on version 14 of the Android mobile ecosystem. The smartphone will be built around a large 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, capable of displaying an image in 1200 x 2664 pixels, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The screen will also integrate a fingerprint sensor, without forgetting a small 16-megapixel front camera, housed in a small punch at the top of the panel.

On the battery side, we will find here a 5,000 mAh unit, compatible with (very) fast 100W charging technology. Honor promises a smartphone that is always “cool”, thanks to a 3D vapor chamber for cooling.

At the back, the new Honor 90 GT smartphone will be able to count on a 50-megapixel IMX906 main photo sensor, from Sony. We will also find a 12 megapixel wide-angle sensor, without forgetting the essential LED flash.

In terms of prices, the new Honor 90 GT will be launched in China from 2,599 yuan (€330) for the 12 GB RAM/256 GB version. The 16 GB/260 GB, 16 GB/512 GB and 24 GB/1 versions To will be offered at 2,899 yuan (€370), 3,199 yuan (€405) and 3,699 yuan (€470). Finally, in terms of colors, the Honor 90 GT will be available in black, blue and gold.

Remember that the Honor group is also present in the folding smartphone market, and that we should have news, from the start of 2024, of the highly anticipated Honor V2 in Europe, with the added bonus of a collaboration (more than probable) with Porsche Design.

Honor smartphones: comparison of the best models in 2023

Not so long ago, Honor was a brand that was on the rise, to the point of being able to claim to join our selection of the best smartphones. But as a subsidiary of Huawei, the company suffered the full brunt of the American embargo. Honor has now freed itself from its parent company and is making its comeback on the French market with new products that you can find in this comparison.
