Honor will renew its MagicBook Pro 16.1 released at the end of 2020 for a version that abandons the Pro qualifier and is up to date.

Thus, the AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor gives way to the 5600H version equipped with Zen 3 architecture, which makes it around 20% more competitive than its predecessor. As on the Honor MagicBook View 14, the manufacturer offers a Performance mode to increase the thermal envelope of the processor in order to increase its efficiency.

The 16.1-inch Full HD panel is retained, but its refresh rate goes from 60 Hz to 144 Hz. Note that the webcam is no longer integrated into the keyboard and is found planted above the screen, a good location more practical.

The connection evolves smoothly with the addition of a second USB-C port, in addition to the one used for charging. Wireless connectivity is moving from Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6, which is faster. An HDMI 2.0 port and two USB 3.2 ports complete the package.

The Honor MagicBook 16 is currently offered for pre-order by Amazon at €999 in its Ryzen 5 5600H configuration, 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD. However, availability is not specified.
