The host’s lawyers made it clear that this hearing was at the request of their client. “As he has been asking for many months, Sébastien Cauet is currently being questioned by investigators for the facts he is accused of, which the press has reported on and which he disputes,” indicated Simon Clemenceau and Xavier Autain, Cauet’s two lawyers.

Before specifying that he “made freely, and at his request, to the investigation services in order to be able to answer, point by point, all the questions asked.” And “the time for justice is not that of the media.
