The Huawei P60 could be released in early 2023, the first images have leaked

The very discreet Huawei P60 could finally arrive very soon. According to a leaker on the Chinese social network Weibo, the Chinese manufacturer has completed preparations for the release and is now targeting a launch for the first quarter of 2023. At the same time, first images tell us more about the design of the smartphone.

While Huawei has undeniably lost its luster in recent years, many users wait each year for the release of the P series, which has enabled the manufacturer to establish itself in the market for a long time. Still, leaks are less frequent. This is how we learn, a few months in advance, that the Chinese firm would have finished designing its new representative, the Huawei P60.

On Weibo, leaker Classmate Guan indeed claims that “Huawei P60 series has been finalized. Huawei is now working on the launch schedule, marketing and release window. » Still according to the latter, the launch could therefore take place as early as the first quarter of 2023, potentially within just a few weeks. The leaker adds that the flagship will only be available in a 4G version, due to the supply restrictions that the manufacturer is still facing.

What else do we know about the Huawei P60? Not much, except that the manufacturer will certainly try again to do what it does best: advanced photo modules. In any case, this is what the first stolen images, published this week on Weibo and which show the shell of the Huawei P60, seem to suggest. Separately, unofficial renders have also surfaced following this leak. These feature a large rectangular photo module, in the center of which sits an imposing main sensor.

Two other rectangular spaces are arranged on each side, presumably for the wide-angle sensor and the telephoto lens. Finally, a hole in the upper right corner will probably be reserved for the LED flash. Previous leaks also suggest that the components themselves won’t perform better, but instead the manufacturer is aiming to improve software optimization for better rendering. In theory, the smartphone should also be marketed in France.
