“The ideal entry currency” now in the race to the moon

DOGE and BTC rush to the literal moon as the half-brother of Canada’s Prime Minister comes out as a massive Dogecoin fan.

To the moon! – this battle cry is an integral part of the crypto liturgy. It expresses the hope for explosive price growth to dizzying heights – actually. Because with Elon Musk and most recently the crypto derivatives exchange BitMEX, the number of players who want to translate the metaphor into the literal is increasing. Tesla’s “Technoking” announced on May 10th that it would send a satellite called “Doge-1” to the moon. The moon mission is to be financed with Dogecoin and Doge will be the first crypto currency and the first meme in space, as “Dogefather” Elon Musk tweeted. The fact that Blockstream has been chasing the Bitcoin Blockchain through orbit for years – a gift.

After all: Bitcoin was not yet on the moon, neither literally nor – according to the Bitcoiners – in a figurative sense. At least with the former, BitMEX wants to remedy the situation. The company announced on June 4th that it plans to send a Bitcoin to the earth’s satellite later this year. In the announcement, BitMEX makes no secret of the fact that it also wants to ruin Musk’s moon mission:

A Dogecoin protagonist / EV Auto innovator / space enthusiast recently opened the gauntlet when he announced his plans to send Doge to the moon. We have nothing against dog money, but we only think it’s right to help Bitcoin get there first.

This is done in cooperation with the space robotics company Astrobotic Technology. Astrobotic was developed by NASA as part of the moon mission Peregrine 1 tasked with bringing scientific measuring instruments to the moon. But Peregrine 1 is not only supposed to cart spectrometers and lidar sensors to the surface of the moon, but also a physical Bitcoin coin on which the private key to a BTC is engraved.

With all the talk that Bitcoin is going to the moon, we will actually do it. We couldn’t be happier to support Astrobotic’s attempt to get its commercial lander to the moon,

Bitmex CEO Alex Höptner comments on the mission. Musk accepted the challenge. “A new race in space!” tweeted the SpaceX boss on the BitMEX announcement.

Prime Minister Trudeau’s half-brother is beating the Dogecoin advertising drum

Meanwhile, at the crypto conference Bitcoin 2021 in Miami, in addition to scene greats such as Michael Saylor or Nick Szabo, Kyle Kemper, the half-brother of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, also met. There Kemper has opposite the English-language crypto portal Cointelegraph revealed his passion for Dogecoin. Not that it took many words – Kemper wore a bright yellow shirt with a Dogecoin print. Kemper, who runs a crypto company himself, explained in interview Dogecoin became a kind of gateway drug for crypto newbies.

DOGE is a wonderful entry currency, making it really easy for kids to get started with DOGE. […] I say stay open to DOGE and the Doge spirit.

For Kemper, the doge spirit is the charitable commitment of the community.

I suggest that you maybe swap some cryptos for some DOGE for the pure reason to give them away

said Kemper to him Cointelegraph-Reporter directed – but without success. Kemper himself is planning a giveaway of one million DOGE in the coming months. The project is called “Million Doge Disco”And runs on the Ethereum-based platform BLOCKv.
